Hi, I’m Kelly Firth
Registered Psychotherapist, MA, RP, CCC (she/her)
Verified by Psychology Today
I aim to honour the experience of all of my clients and believe that starts with making a genuine connection from the first session. I offer psychotherapy services to individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, life transitions, interpersonal relationship challenges, and relationship conflict. I am also an LGBTQ2S+ and ENM-affirming, and kink-friendly therapist. I am motivated to support clients to deepen their self-understanding, navigate relationship challenges, and develop more compassionate ways of relating to themselves.
I aim to create a non-judgmental and client-centred space where I can empower my clients to achieve their goals. I have an integrative style of therapy, drawing from approaches such as Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

I have wanted to be a therapist ever since I was a teenager, when I saw how helpful therapy was to myself and people close to me. I pursued a BA in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, then a MA in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University with a specialization in Couples and Families.
I started my therapy career in community mental health and worked at the Walk-in Counselling Clinic where I provided free single-session counselling to members of the community.
I have been registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists since 2021 and I am a Canadian Certified Counselling with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
I am also trained in EMDR, and am passionate about continuing to hone in my experience with trauma-informed and trauma-focused approaches.
